Garrett Alberson took advantage of being passed by Bobby Pierce for the lead to be called back after the yellow waved on lap 24 for Nick Hoffman. When the pass didn't count and they reset the field Alberson, who won at Volusia with the Outlaws 20 days ago, cruised to a comfortable four second win. Pierce held off Devin Moran at the end as those two drivers joined Alberson on the podium. Point leader Dotson and Ricky Thornton Jr rounded out the top 5.
58 World of Outlaws Late Models signed but a few cars scratched for various reasons before qualifying. A Florida afternoon rain shower delayed the start of the program. With that moisture it made for a fast track and officials worked all night long on the track to give the drivers and fans a good safe show.
Ryan Gustin would take top time honors in Group A but Ricky Thornton Jr would be the quickest overall as he was in Group B.
Heat race winners were Gustin, Pierce, Sheppard, Thornton Jr, Alberson, and Marlar. Those six drivers went to the redraw to determine their starting spots for the 35 lap $12,000 to win feature. Marlar and Alberson drew the front row.
The racing action continues again tonight at Volusia with the World of Outlaws paying $12,000 to the winner. You can catch all the action live on DIRTVision and catch updates on Loud Pedal Report Facebook page.
