This is officially our 1st BIG post here on Loud Pedal and what better way to kick it off then interviewing the "KAMIKAZE KID" himself Tyler Carpenter. Driver of the #28 Kryptonite Chassis out of Parkersburg, WV.

We sit down and spoke to Tyler before the GATEWAY DIRT NATIONALS that's held out in St. Louis, Missouri at the dome which is only 16 days away. He has won that event BACK TO BACK and he is attempting to go for his 3rd straight win.
We sit down and asked him some questions and he answered the questions well no other way then in Tyler Carpenter fashion 😂.
So please understand there is NO FILTER to the responses. Not intended for some readers 🫣.

Loud Pedal - So how did you come up with the name Kryptonite for the chassis name?
Tyler C. - Because that was the only thing that took Superman down. (Not talking about Davenport😂)
Loud Pedal - How has your season went so far in 2022?
Tyler C. - Mediocre. I had ups and downs. Overall, pretty successful year just had racers luck. Which I'd rather have anytime.
Loud Pedal - Tell us about your nascar truck series experience in Knoxville?
Tyler C. - It was a pretty cool experience. It was out of my comfort zone, but it was a badass deal and glad to have the opportunity.
Loud Pedal - How did the deal with Robert Earl come about?
Tyler C.- He approached me wanting to purchase a race car after we raced at Richmond and the relationship grew from there.
Loud Pedal - What are your thoughts heading back to gateway dirt nationals trying to make it 3 in a row?
Tyler C. - To be honest I didn’t go into it last year thinking I was going to make it 2 for 2. But I am
going into it this year with the same mindset just hoping to make the race. But have a chip on my shoulder telling me to win it let's make history again.

Loud Pedal - Gateway weekend is a weekend that's been good for you, how do you prepare for a temporary racetrack like the dome?
Tyler C. - It's definitely been good to us, but just beef the equipment up to the MAX and hammer down.
Loud Pedal - Everybody is wanting to know is there anything in the works for Tyler Carpenter and Hey dude shoes in the future?
Tyler C. - Nothing at all 😒
Loud Pedal - Do you have any plans or goals going into the 2023 season you would like to achieve?
Tyler C. - Just to have a successful season with no engine failures. Maybe get lucky enough to pull off a Lucas oil win.
Loud Pedal - Barry Braun and the XR team is reviving Pennsboro. Being a West Virginian how big would it be for that track not just be brought back to life but to have a big race there again?
Tyler C. - I think that would be a pretty cool deal. The thought of it is badass I grew up watching dad (Freddie Carpenter) race on it I never got to race it myself.

Loud Pedal - Favorite place to eat while at the dome?
Tyler C. - I’m so picky I eat a bag of chips almost the whole time I’m there each day.
Loud Pedal - Thoughts on the new tire deal that's coming in 2023. Will it help and can it put everyone on the same level in the tire game?
Tyler C. - I think it’s the best thing that could happen honestly. Not all of us have the time to put into the tires as others do. I think it could possibly put everyone on the same level as far as that goes.
Loud Pedal - Closing thoughts to tell the fans?
Tyler C. - I appreciate the ones that support me and well the ones that don’t can kiss my ass. But all jokes aside I do want to thank my sponsors that help me get to the track each week. Without them a race team like us couldn't do what we do:
