Jason Feger continues his hot streak with the MARS Series making it a clean sweep on this Labor Day weekend and three wins in a row giving him a comfortable lead in the season point standings. Frank Heckenast Jr. would take the runner up honors with Ryan Unzicker finishing on the podium with his 3rd place run.
Feger would top the 25 entrants in qualifying and also winning his heat race. The other 2 heat race winners were Ryan Unzicker and veteran driver Kevin Weaver.
Pole sitter Ryan Unzicker would open the race leading the first 2 laps before Mike Mataragas would pass the "El Paso Express" to lead lap 3. Unzicker would then freight train back to the lead on lap 8.
Feger, who went harder on tire choice, made his presence felt and worked around Unzicker to take the lead on lap 12 to go on for the $5,000 payday. The win gave the Bloomington , IL resident his 2nd win on the Illinois bullring this season after not winning there since 2010.
Speaking of Bullrings the series will travel next to Brownstown , IL on September 15th paying $10,000 to the winner then back to FALS the following day for another $5,000 to win Feature.
