Fisher Wins SAS at 191 Dalton Cook SAS Champ

Derek Fisher picked up the Southern All Star Series win last night at 191 Speedway in Campton,KY. Shannon Thornsberry took second with Dalton Cook taking third and won the series championship with his finish.

20 Late Models signed into the series season finale with Derek Fisher taking fast time honors. Jordon Horton stopped the clock the quickest but was penalized for post qualifying deck height docking him one row for the feature.

Series officials decided to forgo heats with threat of raining coming later and wanted to let the season championship contenders to battle it out on the track. Cook led Billy Franklin by 5 points. Also Rookie of The Year was up for grabs between Ryan Wilson and Kendall Franklin. Wilson suffered bad luck before taking the green being pushed off the track. The crew scrambled to get him back on track was in the chute when the field took the green. He would rejoin the race on the next caution to keep his chances alive but later was caught up in a wreck ending his chances and his night.
