Spencer Hughes took the lead with seven laps to go at North Alabama Speedway to pick up his first win with JCM Motorsports and first Sourthern All Stars win since 2017. Dalton Cook and Cory Hedgecock rounded out the podium.

34 SAS Late Models signed in for a chance at the $5,000 payday with top time honors going to Oakley Johns and pole position for the 40 lap feature.

On the first lap of the A Main third starting Hughes slid up making contact with the pole sitter causing Johns to spin out. Hughes would say in victory lane there was water on the bottom of turn 1.

Dalton Cook would take the lead on lap 2 and would hold the lead until Hughes got by the leader on lap 33 and go on to win by over two seconds.

Josh Putnam and Jamie Oliver rounded out the top 5. The marathon race that took 75 minutes to be completed had 12 incidents including 3 red flags.

The series will race at Cherokee Speedway Sunday March 3 for the $20,000 March Madness race.
