Chris Madden battled back from diverticulitis that cut his season and championship goals short to muscljng his way past Ricky Thornton Jr to win last night in Charlotte. RTJ finished second with Mike Marlar taking third in the last race for the 2024 World of Outlaws season.

Brandon Sheppard took the season championship with his 9th place finish as Bobby Pierce ended in 17th. Going into the last race BShepp led by 22 points over last year's WoO champion Pierce. Pierce overcame an early season penalty to almost go back to back World of Outlaws champion. Pierce suffered a flat tire last night that all but ended his hopes for the championship.
Sheppard in his first and only full season in the Longhorn Factory Team car overcame their own issues last night to secure the championship. They discovered an engine issue with the primary car and went to the backup car. It is Brandon's 5th WoO series title as everyone expects the Berlin,IL driver to return back to Rocket 2025. No official announcement has been made as of yet the plans for next season and beyond.
Madden made significant contact with Thornton Jr on lap 4 to take a lead he never relinquished. In a heated victory lane RTJ and Madden exchanged words. Madden was hired as Thornton's crew chief when Thornton went to Koehler Motorsports.
Madden recently announced he will be racing for GR Smith next season in select races. The Madden/Smith combination first debuted at Eldora Speedway for the World 100. Madden's original plans for 24 even before his health issue was that this would be his last full season of racing.
Nick Hoffman ended up third in his Sophmore season. Kyle Bronson fourth and Cade Dillard narrowly finished fifth by four points over Ryan Gustin.
