Mike Marlar may be from Winfield ,TN but Ponderosa Speedway is pretty much home for "The Winfield Warrior." Marlar has logged many laps around the Kentucky Bullring collecting several victories along the way and last night's Lucas Oil Dirt Series is another one that Marlar can add to his growing record book.
31 Super Late Models signed into the pit area in front of a record crowd at Ponderosa Speedway located in Junction City , KY. Group A qualifying would go to Marlar but last qualifier of the evening,Brandon Overton, would take top honors.

Marlar would go and collect the heat race win as well as Daulton Wilson , Overton , and new point leader Hudson O'Neal. B Main win was picked up by Jimmy Owens with provisionals going to Bruening,Roberson,Camaron Marlar and Briggs.
Marlar would blast out to the early race lead over fellow front row starter Overton. Although Marlar led every lap he was never comfortably out in the lead while maneuvering around lapped traffic and 2 caution flags.
O'Neal would get around Overton for the runner up spot and while he was trying to catch the leader he was also battling with another issue. Sometime before the halfway mark he took a rock to the visor causing it to come loose. O'Neal climbed out after the checkers fell flushing out his eyes and luckily not getting hit with anything that could fly out from another car. He was driving with one arm shielding himself with the other hand on the wheel.
Evans , GA driver Overton would round out the podium in the Wells Motorsports Longhorn Chassis to keep pace with the Lucas Oil Dirt Series point leader. The events fast qualifier didn't get the launch he needed to move past the pole sitter Marlar but kept him in his sights.

Local favorite Josh Rice will be going for 3 in a row as point leader Hudson O'Neal will try to stretch his point lead out at a track both him and his father,Don O'Neal has had success at.
