Bobby Pierce seems to be regaining his winning ways as he took the $4,000 preliminary win at Ultimate Motorsports Park in Elkin , North Carolina. He also was the fastest qualifier as the field was split in half last night with everyone running a 25 lap feature. Cade Dillard finished two seconds behind the winner with Brandon Sheppard completing the podium. Bad luck for some of the drivers up in the points including point leader Nick Hoffman. Hoffman was caught up in a pileup that included WoO Rookie Contenders Cody Overton and Dustin Sorensen. Chris Madden spun to bring out the yellow then pulled in with a hole in his radiator.

Ross Bailes also led all 25 laps of his preliminary feature holding off Ryan Gustin by just under a half of a second. Ben Watkins took third with Benji Hicks and Brian Shirley rounding out the top 5. Bailes was the fastest qualifier of the second divided group and said in victory lane it definitely helped to qualify well and set the pace in the feature. Bailes already has a win at the track back in April.
