After some bad luck a few weeks ago Bobby Pierce has done a complete 180 as he took the win last night at Bedford Speedway in PA. Brandon Sheppard would take the runner up spot as Ryan Gustin rounded out the podium.
34 Late Models were on hand for the World of Outlaws first race at Bedford since 2009. Pierce would set fast time and took the heat race win. Other winners were Dillard , Sheppard , and Shirley. Brian Shirley would pull the pole starting spot in the redraw that sets up the first 4 rows of the feature.
Shirley would lead lap 1 before Pierce took over and go on for the win. The race seen several drivers have tire issues as that was the only time the yellow would wave during the 45 lap feature.
Kyle Bronson, Brian Shirley, Cody Overton, Alex Ferree and Nick Hoffman all suffered flat tires in the main event. After Pierce took the checkers, Bryan Bernheisel had spun in turn 1 , as Pierce was celebrating got into the Bernheisel car. That was about the only issue Pierce had all night.
The series travels to Sharon Speedway tonight as the points race is heating up with BShepp on top of Hoffman and the streaking Pierce.
