Those four drivers came out for an old school 4 lap dash for cash. Hughes would lead all 4 laps for the $1,000 and start on the pole. for the 40 lap main event.

B Main wins would go local drivers Jared Bailey and Jordan Wever. Wever was making his late model debut after racing modifieds the last few years.

The field was set for the Bastin Memorial who passed away back in January. The 40 laps was set for his 40 career wins. Hughes and Rice brought the field to green on the fast smooth prepared race track. Hughes would lead the first 15 laps while the rest of the field jockeyed for positions behind him.

Rice would try to get the outside rolling but the inside line was the fastest away around during the feature as Pierce would dive down below Hughes and Rice to take the lead. On lap 27 Nick Hoffman moved into the runner up spot passing Hughes for the position while Pierce was negotiating lapped traffic.

Pierce had no issues putting cars a lap down to keep a comfortable distance in front of Hoffman and the rest of the field to cruise to victory lane. Pierce's Longhorn Chassis with the Vic Hill Racing Engines also took additional bonus money for being the hard charger of the feature gaining six positions.

James Essex made sure to thank the fans and drivers for coming as he had a diverse field of drivers from the Lucas Oil Series and the World of Outlaws there to battle against the regional drivers. They also had a bonus for the highest finishing Crate engine cars that went to Jug Wethington and Tyler Neal.
