Bobby Pierce took the lead from Tyler Erb just past halfway and easily cruised to the win in his first ever visit to Lernerville. Erb and Alberson battled for several laps with Terbo taking second and on the last lap Daulton Wilson slipped by Alberson to take third. New track record holder Moran rounded out the top 5.
49 cars were on hand for the first visit for the series. Moran won his heat race along with Wilson,Sheppard,Alberson,Erb,and Briggs. Feger and Hudson O’Neal took B Main wins.
At the drop of the green it was Tyler Erb that led the first lap from his 4th starting spot. The feature was only slowed one time as Myles Moos spun in turn 4 causing Justin Kann to spin to avoid slamming into Moos on lap 12.
Back to green and Pierce started to make his run to the front. He was running around the 5th position before the yellow. He worked his way around Erb on lap 26.
In victory lane as Pierce climbed out he did the crotch chop in memory of Scott Bloomquist and sent his condolences to the Bloomquist family. Pierce also said it's tough going to a new track especially there because the track is so unique. He made several laps in the World of Outlaws video game that has the track on the game.
Point leader Ricky Thornton Jr. finished 6th as he continues to adjust driving for Koehler Motorsports. He said they are getting better together and just finding exactly what adjustments the car needs for feature runs. Pierce now holds a nine point advantage as they head to Eldora September 4th for the previously rained out show.
