Bobby Pierce took the lead from Brian Shirley then cruised to the 40 lap win over Ryan Gustin. Shirley , Alberson , and Brandon Sheppard rounded out the top 5.
Maquoketa Speedway, located in Iowa, seen 26 cars on the opening night of the Nippy 50 weekend. The race is an unsanctioned event promoted by Jeff Hoker of Hoker Trucking.
Brian Shirley would set fast time and win his heat race with other wins going to Cody Overton and Ryan Gustin. Dylan Thornton took the last chance win.
Tonight they will race for $20,000 to the winner
