Ricky Thornton Jr started on the pole for the 25 lap feature but didn't lead until lap 12 passing Tyler Erb for the lead in turn 1. Bobby Pierce would pass Erb on the last lap to take second as Erb settled for third place finish. Jonathan Davenport and Brandon Overton would finish out the top five running order.
55 DirtCar Late Models were on hand for the second night at Volusia. Ryan Gustin claimed overall fast time in group qualifying. The format is different compared to Group A and Group B qualifying that Lucas Oil and World of Outlaws uses. Each driver pulls a pill and you qualify and heat race within your group.
The racing action resumes again tonight at Volusia paying $5,000 to win.
