Ricky Thornton Jr loves All-Tech Raceway. The 2024 Lucas Oil Series champion used a good run combined with Devin Moran's bad luck to secure his first victory in the new calendar year. Thornton’s good friend ,Max Blair, followed RTJ to take the runner up spot. Daulton Wilson rounded out the podium with Moran and Tyler Erb finishing in the top 5.

45 Lucas Oil Late Models took time with Moran setting fast time. He would go on to win his heat race to snatch the pole position starting spot for the 40 lap main event. Clanton,McIntosh, and Tyler Bruening took the other heat race wins. B Main winners went to two former Lucas Oil champions Davenport and Owens.

Moran would go out to the early race lead and led until lap 13 when "The Georgia Bulldog" Shane Clanton took the lead. Clanton driving Austin Smith's Capital Race Car led until lap 18 when Moran would take it back from him. His solid run ended with a flat tire while running second on lap 31.

Thornton Jr used a strong restart to go from fourth to the lead only to lose it when he slipped too high on lap 33. As they were coming to the white Moran's RR was going down. Thornton Jr said he noticed Moran was 3 wheeling through the corner and was unaware of the 99's tire going down.

All-Tech will host another night of Lucas Oil racing tonight paying $12,000 to the winner as RTJ will go for his fourth career win at the speedway.
