Sam Seawright inherited the lead back from Daulton Wilson on lap 27 after Wilson slowed with engine failure to lead the rest of the way for the victory. Pole sitter Brandon Overton took the runner up finish with hard charger Wil Herrington taking third.
Sam Seawright topped the 37 car field in qualifying after a two hour delay because of rain. Heat race winners were Wilson , Ross Bailes , Seawright ,and Overton. B Main winners were Ashton Winger and Joseph Joiner.
Overton took the green from his pole starting position but it was Seawright who led the first lap. Lap 10 seen the red flag wave as Scott Bloomquist made contact with Chris Ferguson sending them into the wall while battling for 9th. The melee also collected Winger , Mitchell , McBride , Mills , and Jeff Smith. It took about 25 minutes to clean up the accident and thankfully no one was injured.
When the green came back out Seawright would continue to lead until Daulton Wilson took the lead on lap 14. Wilson would lead until he would slow on lap 27 with engine issues giving the lead back to the 20 year old from Rainsville , AL.
Benji Hicks was running second with 2 laps to go when he was forced to retire giving the runner up spot to Overton. Overton wasn't close enough to challenge Seawright for the win as Sam won by nearly three seconds as he crossed the checkers. It was his first Hunt the Front win and his first win since he won at Duck River back in February.
Last year's champion Josh Putnam would finish fourth as Jimmy Owens took fifth. Tonight's series race has already been cancelled due to weather so the next event will be on May 17th at Whynot in Mississippi paying $5,000 to win.
