Terbo Gets Redemption at East Bay

Tonight's feature is why everyone loves East Bay as it produced an exciting 40 lap battle with plenty of passing and drivers moving all around the track. Tyler Erb made up for last night's one lane race to taking the win tonight over 23rd starting Mike Marlar and fast qualifier Jonathan Davenport.

Jensen Ford would top Group A qualifying but Davenport would top him in Group B to win qualifying. Both drivers would win their heat races to give them the front row for the feature. Other heat winners were Wilson , Terbo , Ross Robinson , and Jimmy Owens. B Mains went to Brian Shirley , RJ Conley , and Ethan Dotson.

At the drop of the green "Superman" flexed his muscle on the juiced up topside of the track as Jensen Ford , Daulton Wilson , Terbo , and Owens would fill out the top 5. Tyler quickly moved into the runner up spot on lap 2. Erb was fast last night but was committed to the top side that just wasn't there but was tonight.

Running order after 10 laps had JD leading Erb , Wilson , Ford , and Moran. One lap later Erb took advantage of a near miss for leader Davenport as Conley was sideways exiting turn 4. Davenport had to get out of the gas to prevent slamming into Conley on the bottom with Erb full throttle on the top side.

Lap 14 Wilson gets past Davenport then on lap 17 Davenport once again had to avoid a slower car as Earl Pearson Jr was slowing with a flat tire causing the first yellow flag to come out. Top 5 was Erb , Wilson , Davenport , Moran , and Garrett Alberson.

On the ensuing restart Alberson had the rear end come around leaving Brandon Overton no where to go and slamming into the white and blue 58. Lap 19 had Davenport getting back around leader Erb as they were battling each other left the bottom open for Wilson to lead at the halfway mark but was short lived as JD went back around the Ratliff owned 16 in turn 2.

The yellow would wave again on lap 21 for 3rd place running Devin Moran as he made contact with Tyler Erb getting into turn 2. Moran showed his displeasure with Erb in interview after winning his heat race from Monday's rained out program. Top 5 had JD leading Wilson , Erb , Owens , and Ford.

The green wouldn't stay out long as it would wave again just 2 laps later as last night's winner Hudson O'Neal slid in turn 2 causing Kyle Bronson to hit the LR spinning out the Rocket 1. O'Neal was going for four straight A Main wins at East Bay. Top 5 had Dennis Erb replacing Jensen Ford for 5th.

Erb would once again take the lead on lap 26 going top side on Davenport in turn 2. Jimmy Owens moved into 3rd on lap 30 as "The Dealership" Jensen Ford would have his MSD box go bad on him ending his run.

On lap 32 Wilson would move into 3rd then the hard charger of the night. , Mike Marlar , moves into 5th on lap 37. Marlar was letting it eat on the high side and ended up nipping Davenport at the line for the runner up spot as JD held off Daulton Wilson for the 3rd spot.

After the feature they ran the preliminary events from Monday's rained out program and the track was still racy. When the racing is like this it makes it even harder to say goodbye to "The Clay by The Bay." Tomorrow's program will be for Lucas Oil points then the Monday rained out program will not award points.
