Ricky Thornton Jr. picked up his 3rd career FloRacing Night In America race last night at Florence Speedway located in Union,Kentucky. Thornton ran 3rd for most of the race as Bobby Pierce led the first 43 laps before RTJ slipped by him after a few sliders thrown by each driver before Thornton pulled away to take the win. Pierce would take 2nd with Jonathan Davenport finishing 3rd.

32 Castrol FloRacing Super Late Models made the trip to the Northern Kentucky track with "The Winfield Warrior" Mike Marlar starting the night off topping qualifying. The 4 heat race wins went to Moran,Davenport, Pierce , and Thornton. Sheppard and Dustin Nobbe took B Main wins to make the starting field.
Pierce blasted out to the lead as polesitter Devin Moran never got to lead a lap and retired early from the race.
Fast qualifier Mike Marlar fresh off his Ultimate Heart of America win at Clarksville Speedway in Tennessee brought out the caution on lap 33 setting up the battle for the win.
Jonathan Davenport continues his top 10 streak at the half mile never finishing lower than 7th in last 8 starts.
The mini series will take a summer break and will resume September 12th at Fairbury Speedway.
