The Lucas Oil Series point leader landed in victory lane again last night at Knoxville Raceway to go back to back at "Sprint Car Capital of the World". Thornton didn't need a last lap charge to the win like he did on Thursday night leading all 25 laps to a nearly 4 second win ahead of Chad Simpson and Devin Moran.
Brian Shirley would top qualifying over the 39 car field with the heat race wins going to Thornton Jr. O'Neal , Brandon Sheppard and Earl Pearson Jr. The B main winners were fast qualifier Shirley and Jonathan Davenport.
Thornton will try for the first weekend sweep at Knoxville since Billy Moyer did it in 2010. If you can't be there in person tune into FloRacing. The Knoxville Nationals pays $50,000 to the winner
