The top two dirt late model drivers in the country, Ricky Thornton Jr and Bobby Pierce, once again battled for the win with RTJ winning night one at Senoia. The FloRacing Night In America point leader ,Pierce, holds a 21 point lead leading into tonight's season ending race. Garrett Alberson rounded out the podium.
Senoia received alot of rain Thursday but the track worked hard to give the racers the best possible safe racing surface.
52 Late Models filled the pits for the Peach State Classic. RTJ started the night off stopping the clock the quickest. Heat race winners were Davenport, Alberson,Pierce, Thornton Jr, Knowles, and Feger. B Mains were won by Wilson,Clanton, and Stevens.
Jonathan Davenport would lead the 26 car field to green and led the first lap. Thornton Jr would use the bottom line to take the lead on lap 2 and led rest of the way for his 24th win of 2024.
Officials decided to cut the advertised 50 lap feature to 40 due to the heavy wet conditions. Through attrition 11 cars were on the track when the checkers fell.
Tonight a champion will be crowned. Can World of Outlaws runner up Bobby Pierce hold off Lucas Oil champion Ricky Thornton Jr? Tune into FloRacing tonight to watch all the action live then check back at Loud Pedal Report for story and results.
