TMac Gets First Win In Rocket1 at Batesville

The wait is finally over for Rocket1 and TMac as they celebrated last night in Arkansas for their first win together. 15th starting Jonathan Davenport takes 2nd and Garrett Alberson finished 3rd at the Topless 100.

Batesville Motor Speedway is known for tire wear and last night was no exception as several tires were either cut or worn out. It bit Ricky Thornton Jr on lap 65 with a cut in his right rear while leading.

McCreadie and Thornton Jr were the only two leaders of the race as they swapped sliders before Thornton's cut tire knocked him out of contention for the win. RTJ did rebound for a fifth place finish.

McCreadie , who won the Topless in 2008 while driving the Sweetner's 39 , thanked the Rocket1 team of Mark , Danny , Joel , and Austin for believing in him. It's no secret it's been a learning curve for all of them after the departure of Hudson O’Neal after Speedweeks. The winning car is a new version of the XR1. They unveiled it last weekend at the North/South 100 in Florence , Kentucky.

The series resumes next weekend at Port Royal with Thornton Jr holding a comfortable point lead over Moran , Davenport , and McCreadie. The top 4 is the cutoff for the point championship.
