The Lil Head Knocker Trent Ivey picked up $20,000 by winning the Ginger Owens Memorial March Madeness at Cherokee Speedway Sunday over Donald McIntosh and Chris Madden. It was a co-sanctioned event with the Sourthern All Stars and the Mid-East Super Late Model Series.

25 Late Models were on hand as Ivey started off his career day by setting fast time. The heat races were scratched due to drivers taking too long to line up according to reports from the track.

Ivey would go on to lead every lap of the feature. He had to survive one last restart after second place running Brandon Overton had a flat tire. He easily cruised to a second and a half margin of victory.

Casey Roberts made his return to behind the wheel and took fourth with Zack Mitchell rounding out the top 5. It was Roberts first race since March 2021 at Cherokee.
