Ricky Weiss led every lap enroute to the World 100 tuneup at Eldora Speedway winning the Baltes Classic over Tripp Gerald and Logan Nickerson. Jason Jameson and Aussie driver Kye Blight rounded out the top 5.
39 Late Models signed in to race their way into the 24 car starting lineup with Weiss taking the top time honors with heat race wins going to Jameson,Lance,Tristan Chamberlain,and Nickerson
Weiss would jump out to the early race lead and never looked back as Tripp Gerald rode in 2nd almost the entire race. Tripp Gerald hasn't raced in 6 years until last weekend at Lake Cumberland Speedway showed no signs of not being behind the wheel for that long.
7th place finisher Tristan Chamberlain made his Eldora Speedway debut last night. The teenager finally turned 16 to make him eligible to run on the famed half mile speedway. His father , Duane , was always a tough competitor at Eldora in his Miller Lite St. Henry's Nightclub 20C.
Weiss hopes to continue his winning streak going into Thursday's prelim night to kick off the 3 day World 100. The Canadian resident 2 weeks ago won the $20,059 Butterball Memorial at Richmond Raceway in Kentucky. Weiss , who builds his own Sniper Chassis , goes into the crown jewel event on a hot streak as he hopes to be back on the stage holding the famous globed trophy on Saturday night
