Daulton Wilson made up for last year's misfortune and Portsmouth Raceway Park by winning the Boone Coleman Gator 50 last night. Wilson controlled the entire race as Garrett Alberson and Seth Daniels rounded out the podium.
21 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Late Models were on hand with Justin Cooper taking the top time honors. Heat race wins went to Rod Conley. Daulton Wilson, and Rod's brother R.J. took the final heat race.
Wilson led the entire race in the James Ratliff owned Longhorn Chassis. Wilson was on his way to winning this race last year when lost a motor just 7 laps from the finish. He would not be denied this year to pick up his first win with the series and third win for the year.
Series point leader,Rusty Schlenk, would retire from the race 4 laps from the finish while running 3rd. Schlenk was credited with a 10th place finish as he still holds a comfortable point lead going into Sunday’s Baltes Classic at Eldora Speedway.
